Acceptable Use Policy

EarnStream is a marketplace for digital products created and promoted by people across Africa. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to every creator, affiliate, buyer and visitor. By using EarnStream you agree to follow these rules. We may remove content, suspend accounts, withhold payouts or refuse service when this policy is broken.

1. Who can use EarnStream

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or of legal age in your country.
  • You must provide accurate account, contact and payout information.
  • One person = one primary account. Duplicate or fake accounts are not allowed.

2. Prohibited products and content

Creators may not upload, and affiliates may not promote, products that:

  • Are illegal in Ghana, Nigeria, or the buyer's country.
  • Infringe copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property you do not own.
  • Contain adult sexual content, hate speech, harassment or violent extremism.
  • Promote fraud, "get rich quick" schemes, gambling systems, or pyramid / MLM recruitment.
  • Contain malware, phishing kits, credential stuffing tools or hacking services.
  • Sell personal data, leaked databases, or academic cheating (e.g. exam answers).
  • Make medical, financial or income claims that cannot be substantiated.
  • Are empty, low-effort, AI-spun without value, or duplicated from another listing.

3. Prohibited behaviour

  • No fake reviews, self-purchases, or manipulating sales counts.
  • No self-referrals — affiliates may not earn commissions on their own purchases.
  • No spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or misleading advertising of affiliate links.
  • No impersonating EarnStream, other creators, brands or public figures.
  • No attempts to bypass paywalls, RLS, storage protections or rate limits.
  • No reverse engineering, scraping or automated abuse of the platform or APIs.

4. Creator responsibilities

  • You own or have the rights to every file, image and description you upload.
  • Descriptions, previews and cover images must accurately represent the product.
  • You are responsible for supporting your buyers and honouring your listed terms.
  • All new products go through admin review before appearing on the marketplace.

5. Affiliate responsibilities

  • Disclose that your links are affiliate links wherever local law requires it.
  • Only promote products you have reviewed and believe are legitimate.
  • Never make earnings, health or outcome claims the creator has not authorised.

6. Buyer responsibilities

  • Purchase for personal use unless the creator's licence says otherwise.
  • Do not redistribute, resell or share downloaded files.
  • Report suspicious listings so we can review them quickly.

7. Enforcement

When we find a violation we may (a) remove the listing, (b) reject a pending product, (c) suspend or terminate the account, (d) hold or reverse payouts linked to the violation, and (e) cooperate with law enforcement where required.
